GALONMETER GL-VM-AWWA is Positive Displacement (Volumetric), Rotating Piston design water meter with Super Dry Type Register from size 5/8X1/2” to 2” designed by GALONMETER and meets to AWWA C700.OPERATION:
Water flows through the meter’s strainer and into the measuring chamber where it drives the piston. The hydro dynamically balanced piston rotates guided by a division plate. A driving magnet transmits the movement of the piston to a driven magnet located within the hermetically sealed register. The magnet is connected to a gear train which translates the piston rotates into volume totalizators
displayed on the register dial face.
CONSTRUCTION:
GALONMETER GL-VM-AWWA bottom loaded Water Meter consists of three basic components: main case, measuring chamber and a sealed register. The main cases of all sizes are constructed using Brass Alloy or Bronze Alloy or Lead free Brass Alloy. Measuring Chambers are constructed of a durable synthetic polymer. Bottom plates are Brass Alloy. Registers are available as either direct read or electronic output with Plastic Register Cover and plastic Register Shroud, Brass Register Cover and brass Register Shroud AS OPTION.Dimension and Dial Plate Design for USG:

Max. Permission Error:
Normal Flow Limits: Within the normal flow rate range, the meter shall register not less than 98.5% and not more than 101.5% of the water actually passed through the meter;
Low Flow Limits: the meter shall register not less than 95% and not more than 101% of the water actually passed through the meter.
